The Derwent Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is Southern Tasmania's only community-based symphony orchestra. It is dedicated to the performance of a wide range of orchestral music reflecting the motto "Music for the love of it." Concerts often feature brilliant young or amateur soloists who rarely have the opportunity of performing with a full symphony orchestra.
