Heidi Barker – Violin

Heidi Barker began her musical journey at home under the tutelage of musical parents and siblings, studying violin from the age of seven and beginning to teach just a few years later. After studying music in her undergraduate degree, she earned master’s degrees in String Pedagogy and in Chamber Music Performance at the Sorkin International Chamber Music Institute, UW-Milwaukee where she studied with Bernard Zinck.

Heidi’s musical passions have always lain in teaching and in playing chamber music, leading her to perform with the St. Elmo Piano Trio and the ICM String Quartet, and to teach internationally at string camps and music schools in the US, Haiti, and Australia.
