The Workshop is overThe 2011 Winter Workshop has ended. This page will not be updated until Autumn 2012, when details of the 2012 Winter Workshop will be posted. Winter Workshop - String OrchestraThis part of the Winter Workshop is hosted by the Piccolo Strings Orchestra for developing string musicians. Violin, viola, cello and double bass players up to grade 2 level are welcome. We encourage more advanced musicians to join the symphony orchestra part of the workshop. Timetable
Conductor - Margaret HobanLYCO conductor since 1996, Margaret has taught privately and at many different schools (including the successful Burnie Stringalong Club programme) and in 2006 received an Australian Strings Association award for services to the string community in Tasmania. Margaret has also taught at the Residential Summer String Camp since 1992, directed since 1999 and been a conductor since 2004. Past workshopsPictures from the 2009 workshop are on this photos page.
