Winter Workshop - Symphony OrchestraInstrumentsThe symphony orchestra workshop focuses on orchestral skills, and musicians must be competent at the techniques of their instrument. Developing string players (grade 2 and below) may join the string orchestra part of the workshop instead. Players of any of the instruments below are welcome:

Conductor - Willem van der Vis
Originally from New Zealand, Willem played in the WASO before studying conducting and moving to Melbourne where he now conducts many different orchestras and ensembles. He has participated in two conducting summer schools in Europe and studied under distinguished conductor Robert Rosen. He works actively in music camps and workshops around Australia.
