2021 End of Year Concert

Audience seating is limited only by the capacity of the building, but please abide by current Coronavirus restrictions:

  • Do not come if you have any cold/flu-like symptoms, or if you are supposed to be self-isolating
  • Sign in with the Check in Tas app, or the registration sheet
  • Sit in family groups, and/or keep 1.5m distant to each other if practicable
  • Sorry, there will be no supper after the concert

Instructions to Members

Rehearsal Timetable for the 25th of June 2021

All rehearsals will be on the City Baptist Church stage. This means that only one orchestra will be able to rehearse at a time. Please arrive in good time for your rehearsal and leave the stage efficiently so the next orchestra can set up.

Orchestra members may wait in the church between the rehearsal and the start of the concert.

Instrument Cases

Upper Strings:  to be left in the crèche area and/or pews directly in front of the crèche

Cellos and Basses:  to be left at the back of the church on the opposite side to the crèche

Brass and Woodwinds:  to be left in the store room (upstage right)

Music and Music Stands

Please bring your own music and music stand.

Concert Dress

Intermezzo: dark skirt/trousers, plain coloured t-shirt (with no lettering on it)

LSO: all black

(LSO members in Piccolo or Intermezzo can wear all black throughout the concert)

Poster advertising Messiah, 4:00pm until 6:30pm, Saturday 3rd April 2021. St Andrew's Uniting Church, Evandale, gates open at 3:30pm. Cost $25 per family of 4; Singles $10. Bring a cushion, a picnic blanket and enjoy an outside performance.

LYCO Musicians in 2021 Performance of Handel’s Messiah

The Evandale Village Singers and St Andrew’s Uniting Church Evandale, in concert with Don Chorale, the Launceston Youth and Community Orchestra and Friends, invite you to an alfresco performance of Airs and Choruses from George Frideric Handel’s Messiah.

4:00pm until 6:30pm, Saturday 3rd April 2021.

St Andrew’s Uniting Church Evandale, gates open at 3:30pm.

Cost: $25 per family of 4; Singles $10.

Bring a cushion, a picnic blanket and enjoy an outside performance.

If the weather is inclement patrons will be directed to a nearby indoor venue.
