Children At Camp

Minimum Age:

Children over the age of 10years at the start of Camp are allowed to attend without their parents.
Unaccompanied children will sleep in Lodges with similar aged children.
They will be supervised by Camp Parents, Orchestra Parents, Activity Supervisors and Tutors throughout the day.

Children under 10years at the start of Camp must be accompanied by a parent or nominated guardian. Parents must stay on-site while their children are on-site.
Under-aged children must sleep in the same cabins as their parent or nominated guardian.
Parents are responsible for taking their children to and from scheduled activities. Parents may attend afternoon activities with their children.
Non-playing parents are not allowed to attend orchestra rehearsals, ensembles, or tutorials unless a prior arrangement has been made with the Conductor.

Mobile Phones:

In order to create a child-safe environment our policy is that children are not permitted to use mobile phones or smart devices at Camp.
Pre-paid mobile phones will be available for children to use to phone their parents during breaks throughout the day.
Parents needing to contact their children can call the Administrator (0415084644) or leave a text message. The Administrator will return the call as soon as reasonably possible.

Parents Attending Camp with Older Children:

Due to the layout of Camp Clayton (very few small rooms) it is expected that children will stay in Lodges under the supervision of Camp Parents and that parents will stay in rooms with other adults.
No adults apart from the Camp Parents are allowed in the Lodges .
Parents who have specific reasons to have access to their child early in the morning or late in the evening can make individual arrangements with the Camp Parents.
