An avid chamber music fan from the age of 13, Lucinda Marvin joins us from the Midwest of the US. She is a highly sought after freelance artist on both modern and baroque violin. Currently she serves as string leader of the Lyra Baroque Orchestra in Minnesota. She has performed, recorded and toured with the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra of Canada and the Minnesota Orchestra.
Her teaching career has included college age (St. Olaf College and Hamline University) as well as younger students through the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Many music camps have been enjoyed over the years.
Cindy enjoys country living in Wisconsin with her beautiful collies. After being seeing some of Australia while on tour in 1985, she is very much looking forward to her first trip to Tasmania.
