What to Bring

Camp Clayton is a NUT-FREE environment and also does not permit ALCOHOL to be consumed on their premises

Remember that Camp is a NO MOBILE-PHONE environment:

  • under 18’s: please leave your mobile device at home
  • adults: please be discreet about using your mobile devices unless in an emergency

Make sure that everything that you bring is clearly marked with your name
(not a coloured ribbon or a fluffy toy – you may be able to identify your stuff but no one else will!)

bedding:

  • if you have hired bedding from Camp Clayton sheets, pillows and duvet will be provided (towels, including beach towels, are hired separately)
  • if you have not hired bed linen you will need to bring:
    • a sheet to cover the mattress even if you are bringing a sleeping bag
      * mattress are single or queen double, so a single flat sheet would work for either
      * for children a fitted single sheet would be best
    • pillows and pillow cases
    • quilt or sleeping bag (as well as the sheet to cover the mattress)

towels: for the bathroom and for the beach!

also:

  • water bottle
  • sunscreen and sun hat
  • toiletries and personal items
  • warm clothing and waterproof coat (weather can be unpredictable!)
  • suitable casual clothing for everyday wear (concert dress is neat casual)
  • swimming gear
  • ear plugs and eye shades may help you sleep better

most importantly:

  • musical instrument – don’t leave it at home!
arrange your own insurance if required
  • spare strings
  • any chamber music you wish to bring
  • portable music stand
  • cellists: end-spike protector/doughnut
  • back-pack/bag to carry everything around with you
