As of 2014, Dr. Maria Grenfell is Co-ordinator of Composition and Co-ordinator of Classical Music at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music.
She teaches at the Symphony Australia TSO Composers’ School and serves on the Board of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. Her music has been commissioned, performed or recorded by all the major symphony orchestras in Australia and New Zealand.
Maria completed composition studies at the University of Canterbury and gained her Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Southern California in 1998.
