American/Australian bassist Matthew McGrath is the newest member of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, having been appointed in November of 2023.
Prior to this, Matthew has worked extensively with orchestras in the US, Australia and New Zealand. He has performed with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Opera, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Utah Symphony Orchestra, Colorado Symphony Orchestra and many others.
Matthew was also a member of the Verbier Festival Orchestra from 2006-2008.
